“I’m lucky to say I have enjoyed such a fulfilling career whilst being able to be a parent and I would like other dancers, at every stage of their career to have the same opportunities. I think the work of PIPA is paving the way for fantastic change in the world of dance and I’m excited to see what the future brings for the industry and for other parent dancers.”

I have been a dancer my whole working life and, after studying in Italy, I danced in Europe before coming to the UK. I have made my home in London, where I have been performing with The Royal Ballet since 2003.

I have extensive experience of working in a building based repertoire company, and throughout my career I have observed how dancers/parents struggle to continue in the profession after starting a family. With my daughter now in primary school, I also have first hand experience of this circumstance, and I am passionate about helping to make the performing arts more inclusive of parents and carers.

As well as being a dancer, I am a member of the Chance To Dance Steering Group, The Royal Ballet’s outreach program. I am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and a graduate of the Clore Fellowship, and since 2020 I have been co-facilitating a diversity and inclusion working group at the Royal Ballet.
